KYOTO JAPAN 撮影：2013年11月22日 秋の京都観光・嵐山と嵯峨野周辺の紅葉の名所。付近には天龍寺、常寂光寺、宝篋院、祇王寺、宝厳院などの名所旧跡が多く、嵯峨野トロッコ列車でも紅葉が十分に楽しめる。嵐山は長さ154ｍ余りの渡月橋を手前において、その向こうに眺め、丹波高原の南に連なる小高い山々のひとつ 。標高は375ｍだが古くから紅葉の名所。 多くの和歌にも詠まれ、平安時代から親しまれてきた名勝でもある。北麓は大堰川の清流をへだてて紅葉で名高い小倉山に対している。11月の第2日曜には「嵐山もみじ祭り」が催され、大堰川に船を浮かべて、豪華絢爛な王朝絵巻も再現される。また山だけではなくこの付近一帯を嵐山と呼び、付近には天龍寺、常寂光寺、宝篋院、祇王寺、宝厳院、二尊院、野宮神社などの名所旧跡が多く、嵯峨野トロッコ列車でも紅葉が十分に楽しめる。
Autumn Leaves in Kyoto – Arashiyama, Sagano
The Sagano and Arashi-yama districts are located in the western part of
Kyoto City. This area features the Arashiyama, unquestionably the most popular
sightseeing spots in Kyoto. It attracts both Japanese and tourists from overseas
in droves.
The park area embraces several major sights, including Tenryu-ji Temple,
founded in 1339. The main temple of the Rinzai school of Zen Buddhism,
Tenryu-ji is a UNESCO World Heritage Site surrounded by tranquil Zen gardens
and bamboo forest.
Arashiyama is famous for its maple trees in the fall, and has been a scenic
spot since the Heian period.
It is especially wonderful when the maples color the area bright red.
Its view, which includes lush green mountains and rivers harmonized with the
Togetsu Bridge, is cherished by people across the country.
