撮影：2012年4月13日 昔から”権現堂の桜堤”として桜の名所としても知られるのが埼玉県幸手市の権現堂堤。桜が満開の同じ時期にナノハナも咲き美しい花畑を見せてくれる。約1000本の桜とナノハナの両方が同時に花見が楽しめるとは、まさに首都圏でも数少ないスポット。桜は、両斜面沿いに植えられているので、伸びた枝は並木道に覆いかぶさるように低く咲き誇り、満開時には空を埋め尽くすほど。そんな中を歩くと、咲き誇る桜を独占したかのように桜の花びらが見る人を包んでくれるようだ。約6キロに渡って並木が続くので散策にもおススメコース。また花見ごろに咲く菜の花畑も圧巻だ。

Gongendo is famous cherry blossom spot in Saitama Prefecture in Japan.
During the season,this park will be colored by beautiful pink and Yellow flowers.
Three thousand cherry trees were planted on the Gongendo dike in 1920. Gongendo has been known as one of the major cherry blossom viewing spots in the Kanto area since then. In spring, the place has a splendid contrast of the pink cherry blossom and the yellow rape blossom on the dike as if a thick pink line were drawn on a yellow carpet.
