秩父夜祭は、豪華絢爛な笠鉾・屋台が秩父囃子の調べに乗り、冬の夜空を焦がす花火をバックに曳き回される勇壮な祭りです。
秩父神社の女神・妙見様と武甲山の男神・龍神様が年に一度、御旅所で出会うというロマンスも伝えられています。

Chichibu Yomatsuri is regarded as one of three most famous float festivals in Japan where six huge gorgeous floats parade through the city.　At the climax on the night of December ３rd, the huge floats, which up to 20tons each, are drawn up the steep Dango slope making a really surprising and spectacular scene.
