ジュエリーアイス　jewelry ice 2018

北海道十勝、豊頃町の大津海岸です。大寒の２０日、気温が氷点下１５・４度まで冷え込む中、夜明け前から１００人ほどの観光客らが寒さに耐えて日の出を待った。午前６時５２分の日の出とともに光が差し込み、ジュエリーアイスが輝き出すと、観光客らは盛んにシャッターを切っていました。

During the end of January and February of every year, the coast near the small town of Obihiro en Hokkaido, Japan turns into a surreal landscape. Thousands of pristine ice rocks fill the beach, creating a unique sight. The locals call it Jewelry Ice.
